An autopsy on the body of six year old Zachariah Charles has confirmed that he died as a result of multiple blunt force trauma.
The autopsy was performed at the Forensic Science Centre in St. James on Thursday morning.
Zachariah was found lying unconscious on the bathroom floor of an apartment in Building 25, St. Joseph Road, East Dry River on Tuesday night. He was rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A male and female relative remain in police custody, assisting with investigations.
Homicide Detectives on Wednesday posted flyers in the apartment complex asking anyone with information on the boy’s death to come forward.
