A bicyclist suffered fatal injuries after he was knocked down by a van on Sunday morning.
Twenty eight year old Jerry Ramoutar, of Fifth Street in Peytonville in Arima, died at the scene of the collision.
According to police reports, the accident occurred at around 6am. Ramoutar was said to be attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway near the O’Meara Intersection on his bicycle. A police report said that a Nissan Frontier van driven by a man from Cocorite collided with Ramoutar.
Arima police are continuing investigations.
