Blue Wave Harmony Operations Proceeding “As Scheduled”

The Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago says operations aboard the Blue Wave Harmony have been proceeding as scheduled since the vessel resumed sailings on February 10th, under a structured sea trial basis, designed to ensure a coordinated incorporation into the sea bridge network.

In a release issued on Friday, the Port Authority stated that after being recertified on February 9th, the Blue Wave Harmony was reintroduced into service on February 10th, and each scheduled cargo sailing has accommodated trucks presented for shipment.

The release noted that to date, no cargo has remained in the Ferry Terminal yard following any scheduled sailing. The Authority also noted that for each sailing, the terminal yard was fully cleared, with operations teams making concessions for late arrivals and permitting truckers to load after the cut-off time.

It was further noted that the vessel continues to carry live cargo while technical and operational teams monitoring its performance under real operating conditions, allowing for ongoing validation of vessel systems, loading procedures, and port coordination before the expansion of its operations. This approach, the Authority noted, aligns with standard maritime practice following significant works and certification.

The PATT also explained that cargo sailings operate on a structured night-departure cycle supported by publicly issued sailing schedules outlining loading windows, departure times and operational coordination. It also maintains that cargo bookings remain structured and transparent.
