Former West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo has expressed his gratitude after being appointed an Ambassador for Sport by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.
Bravo, who has represented the country on the cricket field and through music, said the honour was a deeply personal one. He shared that representing the red, white and black has always been a source of pride for him, whether on the cricket field, through music, or in any space around the world.
Bravo extended thanks to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Phillip Watts, for bestowing the role on him. He emphasised that the appointment was about more than personal recognition, highlighting its importance in motivating young people and showcasing Trinidad and Tobago’s culture and unity.
He pledged to use the platform to help build “a brighter future” for his homeland.
