CAL Adds Extra Flights For Tobago Carnival 2025 To Ease Travel Demand

The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) has announced that Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) has approved additional flights to accommodate the anticipated travel demand for the Tobago Carnival 2025 period, from October 22nd to 29th 2025.

A press release from the Office of the Chief Secretary stated that CAL has confirmed the addition of 3,200 extra seats to the existing stock for sale during the Tobago Carnival period, supplementing the 18,792 seats already available.

This includes the introduction of an additional Boeing 737 aircraft to support the air bridge, thereby helping to ease travel congestion and ensure that more citizens and visitors can journey to Tobago for the festivities.

The Office of the Chief Secretary said this positive development follows continuous advocacy by Chief Secretary Farley Chavez Augustine; the Members of Parliament for Tobago West and East, Joel Sampson and David Thomas; and Assemblyman Zorisha Hackett, Secretary with responsibility for Culture and Antiquities.

“Their joint efforts, in collaboration with the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; the Honourable Davendranath Tancoo, Minister of Finance, who holds direct responsibility for Caribbean Airlines Limited; the Honourable Eli Zakour, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation; and the Board of Directors of Caribbean Airlines Limited have resulted in a tangible improvement in airlift to the island during one of its most celebrated cultural events.”

The Tobago House of Assembly expressed its gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for its intervention and to Caribbean Airlines Limited for its responsiveness and operational adjustments.

It said, “These collaborative efforts will bring much-needed relief to travellers wishing to participate in the Tobago Carnival 2025 celebrations, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to national connectivity and support of our culture.”
