The Caribbean Public Health Agency’s 70th Annual Health Research Conference will present cutting-edge scientific research to advance health in the region, change policies, and strengthen partnerships.
This, according to CARPHA’s Executive Director, Dr. Lisa Indar, at the launch on Friday.
“We stand at the threshold of a new era where innovation is driving access, efficiency, and precision in unprecedented ways. Clear Caribbean-based examples of public health innovations include the Guyana Malaria technologies, as well as the transformation of their health surveillance system, Trinidad and Tobago’s Chronic Disease Assistance Programme, Barbados’ National NCD Commission.”
Guyana’s Minister of Health and Chair of CARPHA, Dr. Frank Anthony, embraced the information exchange among the 26 Member States, which the conference will facilitate.
“We really welcome this conference, and we are really happy to be the host of this conference. We look forward to many of the persons from other countries in the Caribbean coming here so that we can have very vibrant discussions during this period.”
