Carnival celebrations in Chaguanas are considered a huge success.
That’s according to representatives of the Chaguanas Carnival Committee, who expressed their satisfaction with the outcome.
The Chaguanas Carnival Committee is pleased with this year’s celebrations in the borough. This year, there was the re-introduction of a stage for masqueraders as well as the stick-fighting competition.
Speaking exclusively to TTT News, Committee Chair Melissa Jadoonanan said they received tremendous support.
Ms Jadoonanan said the stage made a significant impact on the celebrations. Ms Jadoonanan boasted that Chaguanas Carnival was one of the safest.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of the Chaguanas Carnival Committee Brenda John said several bands participated this year.
