The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard on Saturday responded swiftly to a bush fire on Gaspar Grande Island, using vessel CG23 to contain and extinguish the blaze.
Officers deployed the ship’s onboard firefighting system, drawing seawater directly, and successfully prevented the fire from spreading further.
The Coast Guard’s rapid response provided critical assistance to residents, safeguarding lives, property and the environment.
