The Guyana Amazon Warriors maintained their unbeaten start to the 2023 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League campaign with a six wicket victory over the Trinbago Knight Riders last evening.
TKR was restricted to 45 for 2 at the end of the PowerPlay. However, several useful cameos from Akeal Hosein, who finished on 44 not out, and Lorcan Tucker, who got 38, eventually led them to a challenging 173.
The Amazon Warriors had an excellent 93 run partnership between Saim Ayub 62 and Shai Hope 51 to seal the victory at the final over of the match.
After the game captain, Kieron Pollard said he is not bothered by the defeat and thanked the giant crowd for their support.
