CPO Maintains 5% Offer With COLA For Police

The Chief Personnel Officer (CPO), Commander Dr. Daryl Dindial, reconvened a meeting with the Executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Social and Welfare Association (TTPSSWA) earlier today at the offices of the Personnel Department to continue discussions on several matters affecting members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.

During the meeting, reference was made to the last engagement between the parties held on December 9th, 2025, at which time the Association was advised by the CPO to submit a formal response to the 5% salary offer dated April 11th, 2025, for the 2020-2022 bargaining period. The matter formed part of the discussions at today’s meeting as both parties continued dialogue on the outstanding salary negotiations. While the Association did not accept the offer, it indicated that a written response will be submitted to the CPO shortly.

Other matters that were discussed included the Job Evaluation Exercise (JEE), Group Health Plan, pension reform and matters concerning the Municipal Police.

The TTPSSWA noted the matters raised and reaffirmed its commitment to engaging constructively with the CPO to address issues impacting the welfare and conditions of service of its membership. The Association also indicated that it will continue to consult with its Executive and membership as discussions progress.

Commander Dindial thanked President Ishmael Pitt and his Executive for their continued engagement and reaffirmed the Personnel Department’s commitment to maintaining open and constructive dialogue on matters affecting police officers.
