Customs & Excise Division Introduces Debit Card Payment System At Service Points

The Customs & Excise Division of the Ministry of Finance has officially launched a new Point of Sale (POS) debit card payment system (Linx), enabling customers to make secure and convenient payments directly at Customs offices throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

The new payment solution represents a significant advancement in the Division’s ongoing digital transformation efforts, aimed at modernizing operations and enhancing customer service across the nation.

The Linx payment system is designed to serve both commercial and non-commercial stakeholders, offering faster, safer, and more efficient payment processing at Customs locations.

Commercial clients, including importers, brokers, and shipping agents, will experience reduced transaction times, improved transparency, and simplified account reconciliation processes. Meanwhile, members of the public conducting non-commercial transactions can expect greater convenience and shorter processing times when making Customs payments.

The Linx payment system is now operational at Customs offices across both Trinidad and Tobago, with the Division encouraging customers to take advantage of the new convenient payment option.
