Cricket in the West Indies could be on the verge of a transformation. A brand new high-performance campus is in the works and one Caribbean government has already thrown its full support behind the idea.
The government of Antigua and Barbuda has approved a new Cricket West Indies Campus and High-Performance Centre at Coolidge, Antigua.
The 20-acre facility to be built in phases through to 2030, will house elite training, sports science, a cricket academy, and a high school, creating a direct pathway to regional cricket.
CWI says the project will also boost sports tourism and broadcasting revenue, building a more sustainable future for the game across the Caribbean.
