Cricket West Indies is gearing up for a critical stretch of ODI cricket, announcing a 10-day high-performance training camp set to begin next week in Antigua.
The CWI high-performance camp runs from May 21st to 31st at Coolidge Cricket Ground, serving as the launchpad for an upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting June 3rd in Jamaica.
Head Coach Daren Sammy will lead the programme, with newly appointed fast-bowling consultant Ottis Gibson officially beginning his tenure at the camp.
Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe says the initiative is a strategic investment aimed at building consistency over the next 18 months and positioning the West Indies for automatic qualification for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
One notable inclusion is Under-19 talent Vitel Lawes, as CWI continues developing the next generation of regional players. Players currently in the Indian Premier League will be unavailable for the camp.
