Trinidad and Tobago national swimmer Dylan Carter secured a spot in the 50 metre freestyle final at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup on Day One of the nine-day event in California, USA.
Carter, who swam in lane four of heat six, finished third, with an impressive time of 21.42 seconds.
Brooks Curry placed second, while Ruslan Gaziev of Canada won the encounter in 21.40.
Carter’s time was enough to rank among the top eight performances.
