Education And Culture Take Centre Stage At Rang Ka Utsav

Celebrating diversity through heritage and fashion, the Hindi Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago hosted its 38th annual dinner and fashion show, dubbed “Rang Ka Utsav – A Celebration of Colours.”

The event which included a dinner, served as both a cultural showcase and a critical fundraiser to support the foundation’s educators as noted by the President of the foundation Chanka Seeterram.

While also showcasing the diversity of this nation.

Building on that sentiment, Minister of Education, Michael Dowlath, emphasized that education extends far beyond modern school infrastructure.

He noted that Trinidad and Tobago is a masterpiece layered by history, richly contributed to by African, Indian, European, Chinese, Middle Eastern, and Indigenous influences. He stressed that classrooms must teach national identity alongside academics.

By funding the educators who keep Hindi heritage alive, the foundation aims to ensure that future generations continue to understand their roots, keeping culture and education thriving under one roof.
