A community in mourning.
Fire Officials are continuing investigations into the cause of a house fire in Laventille, on Thursday night, leaving one woman dead and four others homeless.
When TTT News visited the scene on Friday, we were told that attempts to save her were futile.

Residents of Robinson Lane, Church Street in Laventille woke up on Friday morning to witness billows of smoke still emanating from the home of Elsie Morris.
The 86 year old died in the blaze, which fire service officials say started sometime after 8pm on Thursday.
Fire officers found her charred remains at the south western side of the home.
She lived there with her niece Alicia Morris, a mother of three children.
Ms. Morris explained that she was not at home when the fire started.
Ms Morris lamented that attempts to rescue her aunt were futile.
Ms Morris estimates damages to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Meanwhile, Councillor for Success/Trou Macaque Adanna Griffith-Gordon said further relief is being sought to assist the family.
TTT News contacted Housing Minister Dr David Lee who confirmed that he was aware of the situation and all the necessary information was being sent to the Housing Development Corporation to assist the family.
