The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries convened a meeting on Wednesday to review ongoing project developments, production performance, and financing initiatives of mutual interest within the energy sector. The engagement was held at the Ministry’s Head Office, International Waterfront Centre, Port of Spain.
The Minister Ernesto Kesar met with representatives of the Energy Solutions Finance Department of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Mitsubishi Gas Chemical and Mitsubishi Corporation, and Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited (CGCL) to discuss ongoing collaboration within the energy sector.
During the meeting, representatives from JBIC and Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited shared updates on project assessments and production performance for fiscal year 2025.
Minister Kesar emphasized the Government’s commitment to building strong partnerships with international financial institutions and investors to support responsible investment, innovation, and sustainable growth. He noted that continued collaboration with JBIC, MGC & MC, and CGCL remains important to advancing major projects and supporting the modernization of Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector.
