The East Port of Spain Development Company Limited (EPOS) proudly congratulates Terrance David and Deshawn Hamilton, who have been named as National Award recipients in recognition of their extraordinary bravery and service to their community.
The men, both residents of Sea Lots, will receive the prestigious national honour of the Hummingbird Medal (Bronze) for their heroic act last September when they risked their own lives to rescue a police officer from a burning vehicle. Their courage and quick action prevented loss of life and exemplifies the highest ideals of selflessness and service, inspiring the people of East Port of Spain and the nation at large.
Assistant General Manager of EPOS, Mrs. Nissa Hosten-James, commended their achievement, stating: “Terrance David and Deshawn Hamilton have shown the true meaning of heroism. Their bravery reflects the strength, resilience, and compassion that define our community. They are powerful role models for our youth and a reminder that extraordinary courage can come from ordinary circumstances.”
