The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force were bowled out for 175 in their first innings on Day 2 of Round 2 in the West Indies Championship at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Jyd Goolie top-scored for Red Force with 51 not out, and Kelvin Pitman, the pick of the Leewards bowlers, claiming six wickets for 52.
In reply, the Hurricanes are in a strong position in their second innings, reaching 136 for 6, with Mikyle Louis anchoring the innings with a solid 73, but Jayden Seales went on a bowling rampage for the Red Force, taking 6 for 33.
The Hurricanes currently lead by 95 runs with 4 wickets in hand heading into Day 3.
