THA Chief Secretary : Radar Leaving Tobago As Planned

Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary Farley Augustine says U.S. radar assets and military personnel are leaving Tobago, as initially planned.

Mr. Augustine confirmed that most of the U.S. Marines have already departed, with those remaining expected to leave shortly. He says the arrangement was always intended to be temporary—a position previously communicated to the Assembly and publicly by the Prime Minister.

He noted there should be no surprise surrounding the withdrawal, adding that while there was concern when the assets arrived, questions are now being raised about their departure.
