Fifteen Venezuelan Nationals Held In Early Morning Southern Division Operation

The TTPS Immigration Investigations Unit of CID/CRO, South, continues to conduct operations aimed at detecting persons who have entered the country illegally.

In the most recent operation, officers of the Immigration Investigations Unit, South, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, the Guard and Emergency Branch (GEB), Inter-Agency Task Force, CASU and the Canine Branch, arrested a total of 15 Venezuelan nationals who entered the country illegally.

The exercise was conducted between 4am and 8am, today, Thursday August 21st, 2025 in the Southern Division.

The eleven males and four females were held at two separate locations in the Cedar Hill Village, Princes Town district.

Investigations are ongoing into the above matter.

Meanwhile, an exercise conducted between 9am on July 10th, 2025 and July 11th, 2025, with the assistance of the GEB, Transport Section and Immigration Division, resulted in the arrest of a total of eleven adult Venezuelan nationals (seven males and four females) who entered the country illegally.

Three of the arrested persons were also found to be in breach of Deportation Orders.

Ten of the eleven immigrants were each granted bail with surety in the sum of $10,000 when they appeared before Her Worship Magistrate Armina Deonarinesingh, this week, while the 11th was sentenced to 30 days’ simple imprisonment.

The intelligence-led exercises were coordinated by Snr. Supt. Maharaj, Supt. Pariman, ASP Bisnath, Insp. Phillip and Sgt. Katerson, with the assistance of the Chief Immigration Officer.
