Fitness, Fun And Charity Highlight Nestlé Live Well 5K

Over two thousand runners, kids, and dogs graced CIC Grounds for a spectacular day of health, wellness, and fierce competition at Nestle’s Live Well event. The race took participants around the Queen’s Park Savannah before finishing up with big prizes and an even bigger donation to charity.

An incredible wave of energy took over the CIC Grounds as over 2,000 passionate runners laced up for Nestle’s action-packed fitness event. Featuring a Live Well 5K, a fun 1K for children, and the Purina Pro Plan Run for Dogs.

Charged up and ready to go, the massive crowd kicked off their race from the CIC Grounds, gracing the Queen’s Park Savannah finishing right back where they started.

Nestle’s Nutrition Science Manager, Shaunelle Mieres, explained that beyond promoting vibrant health and wellness, the event was an opportunity to connect consumers.

The competition was fierce, but these stellar athletes pushed through to claim the top spots.

1st Place: Nikolas Romany takes home $1,500 and a special hamper

2nd Place: Alex Ekesa takes home $1,000

3rd Place: Tafari Waldron takes home $500

Female Overall Category:

1st Place: Zion Lewis

2nd Place: April Francis

3rd Place: Akeila Skeete

Media personality Rome was on the ground, emphasizing that this fitness movement is exactly the direction Trinidad and Tobago needs to go.

Top finishers Romany and Waldron also reflected on their stellar performances, noting that the race serves as crucial preparation for their upcoming athletic goals.

In the end, as a display of corporate social responsibility, Nestle extended a helping hand by donating $2,500 to United Way to support those in need across the community.
