Councillor for Enterprise South/Longdenville North Brenda John distributed numerous prizes to residents of the community during a New Year’s football event with a twist, as participants were decked in male and female formal attire.
The event was organised to promote community spirit and camaraderie through sport.
Councillor John called on residents to keep up the community events.
“I am here to bring greetings from Chaguanas Borough Corporation and also the Chaguanas East MP, Ms. Vandana Mohit, an extension of our PM. I’m also here to see who it is I can give 50 US to. I’m also here to give out some Pennywise vouchers. I’m also here to give away two hams randomly. So I will see who it is. They could select who it is they want. So I’m here to support whatever event is happening in my electoral district, I’m always supporting.”
Councillor John reminded residents about her office doors, where they will be afforded an opportunity to air their concerns.
“My office is at next to 6 plus 1 in Enterprise Southern Main Road. I’ll be opening back on the 5th of January, seeing persons on the 6th. Thursday is normally my field visit, where I will drive around in the community Thursday and Friday to see what are the issues. On the 21st, I had over 600 children, distributed treats at the London Hill Basketball Court. I will continue to work in my electoral district. I cannot do street by street, and I cannot reach everyone, but my doors are open to each and every one. I do not segregate.”
