Former President Anthony Carmona has become the latest high-profile victim of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) scam.
A video circulating on social media shows what appears to be Mr. Carmona endorsing an investment scheme, promising citizens a $23,000 return for a $2,000 investment.
Mr. Carmona reached out to TTT News to advise the public that the video is fake.
A video of him addressing our Olympians a few years ago was used and manipulated by AI.
He said people have since been reaching out to him to invest in the scam.
Mr. Carmona also told TTT News that he made a report to the St Clair police two weeks ago when the matter was brought to his attention, but nothing has been done. He is calling on the police to investigate the matter that seeks to defraud our citizens.
