Four suspects were arrested and a firearm and quantities of ammunition and cocaine seized during anti-crime exercises conducted in the Southern, South Western and Tobago Divisions over the weekend.
An intelligence-led operation, spearheaded by ACP Michael Pierre and supervised by ASP (Ag.) St. Clair, was conducted in the Southern and South Western Divisions between 2pm and 9pm, on Sunday September 7th, 2025, and included personnel of the National Special Operations Unit, the Canine Unit and the National Security Special Operations Group.
During the exercise, a 42-year-old Fyzabad vendor was arrested for Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, while another, 25-year-old vendor, also of Fyzabad, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine.
The team of officers then proceeded to the La Romain district, where they carried out a search of a damaged grocery trolley, which resulted in the discovery of a Smith and Wesson revolver and two rounds of ammunition.
Meanwhile, in the Tobago Division, two suspects, ages 63 and 38, were arrested by officers of the Divisional Task Force, Area West, for possession of quantities of cocaine.
The arrests were made during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Scarborough district between 5pm and 7pm, yesterday.
Investigations are ongoing into the above matters.
