Four Men Held With Stolen Vehicle Parts By Gasparillo Police

Gasparillo police recovered approximately $29,000 worth of stolen vehicle parts and arrested four suspects during an operation conducted yesterday in the district.

At approximately 11:35 a.m., officers received a report from the Command Centre concerning a potential robbery at a mechanic garage located along Parforce Road, Gasparillo. According to reports, a white AD Wagon with several occupants was seen entering the garage and loading several items into the vehicle before proceeding onto Bonne Aventure Road.

PC Sinnette and PC Robinson of the Gasparillo Police Station responded to the report and, with assistance from Highway Patrol officers, successfully intercepted the vehicle — a white Mitsubishi wagon — along Harmony Hall Road while it was proceeding in a southerly direction.

Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered the following items:

• Two Honda CBR 600 engines

• One QG15 transmission

• One container containing motorcycle starter parts

The items, valued at approximately $29,000, were seized and conveyed to the Gasparillo Police Station.

Four suspects were also arrested:

• A 24-year-old man of Old Train Line, Claxton Bay

• A 22-year-old man of Battoo Avenue, Marabella

• A 21-year-old man of Silk Cotton Road, Marabella

• An 18-year-old man of Sixth Street, Battoo Avenue, Marabella

The men are to be charged with larceny, while wagon was also seized and conveyed to the station pending further enquiries by PC Robinson.
