Cervical cancer is highly survivable when detected early. In fact, around 95 out of every 100 people diagnosed at an early stage will survive for five years or more after their diagnosis.
In an effort to help more women in Trinidad benefit from the high survival rates associated with early detection, the Ayana S. Dyette Foundation hosted a Pap Party at Bishop’s Anstey High School East in Trincity.
Representative Paige Ribeiro-Agard said that, in support of this goal, the foundation provided free Pap smears for everyone who attended on Saturday.
