Government ministers toured the research and survey vessel Amazon Warrior at Chaguaramas on Friday, ahead of the start of a major offshore seismic survey in Trinidad and Tobago’s deepwater acreage.
The vessel forms part of the Shearwater GeoServices seismic fleet. It was contracted by ExxonMobil Trinidad and Tobago Deepwater Limited to conduct a three-dimensional (3D) seismic survey over Block TTUD-1.
The Amazon Warrior is scheduled to depart from Chaguaramas on Sunday, approximately five months after the Production Sharing Contract for Block TTUD-1 was signed on August 12, 2025.
ExxonMobil Trinidad and Tobago Deepwater Limited and Shearwater GeoServices said the timeline reflected efficient coordination that allowed the contract to be finalized and the vessel to enter the country within that period.
