An independent expert panel reviewing the circumstances surrounding the death of six-year-old Jasher Francois has submitted its report, according to an update from the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry confirmed that the report was submitted without an official statement from the child’s parents, which was not received during the extension period granted by the panel.
The Office of the Chief Medical Officer had formally reached out to the family in an effort to include their perspective. The step was taken to ensure fairness, care and sensitivity throughout the review process.
The Ministry of Health stated that further updates will be provided as the process continues.
