High Level UAE Delegation To Visit T&T This Month

Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Sean Sobers has announced that a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates will visit Trinidad and Tobago from January 23rd to 26th.

The delegation will be led by Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

In making the announcement on Wednesday, Minister Sobers stated that the visit reflects the Government’s ongoing commitment to expanding international relationships and advancing the country’s foreign policy and economic interests.

He noted that in September 2025, the Prime Minister led the country’s delegation to the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where she held bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and senior officials from Kuwait and the UAE. Following the UNGA, several Ministers visited the UAE in November 2025 to advance the country’s digital transformation agenda and explore potential partnerships in infrastructure, energy, and other key sectors.

Minister Sobers said, “Given the success of that mission, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago is therefore pleased that, less than two months later, a high-level mission, which would be led by Her Excellency Noura bin Mohamed Al-Khabi, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, and her delegation consisting of nine other individuals, will visit Trinidad and Tobago. During that visit, the delegation will have extensive discussions with the Honourable Prime Minister, the Minister of Works and Infrastructure, the Minister of Land and Legal Affairs, the Minister of Public Administration, the Minister of Artificial Intelligence, and the Minister of Culture and Community Development. The delegation will also visit several sites in North, South, and Central Trinidad, identified in the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago’s Revitalisation Blueprint for foreign direct investment, including Invaders Bay, the Port of Point Lisas, the Couva Children’s Hospital, just to name a few.”

Minister Sobers emphasised that the visit represents a “significant milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering investment opportunities that will benefit both countries.”
