History Beckons As Brian Lara Cricket Academy Prepares For First Test

The Brian Lara Cricket Academy will make history on July 25th, becoming the 126th venue in the world to host Test cricket when the West Indies take on Pakistan in Trinidad.

The venue in Tarouba joins an elite list that began with the Melbourne Cricket Ground back in 1877. It will be the first Test venue certified in Trinidad and Tobago since the Queen’s Park Oval in 1930, following a long certification process by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies, backed by the ICC.

The ground has already proved itself, hosting ODIs, the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, CPL and Super50 matches.

Tickets go on sale Thursday for TT$35 per day, with free admission for children under 16 accompanied by an adult.
