The search is ongoing for two-year-old Angelo Tobias in Tobago after the child was reported missing from his home on Monday, May 11, 2026.
According to Captain Vallance Rambharat of the Hunters’ Search and Rescue Team, investigators have received very limited credible information so far, making efforts to locate the toddler especially challenging.
“Facts in the matter are very hard to come by. As the leader of this team I’m a logical thinker, a systematic thinker. And that has proven to be effective in terms of our operations. But here in Tobago there are very few, ah there are very few facts in the matter.”
Captain Vallance Rambharat noted that his team has been actively involved in the search efforts over the past six days, working alongside other responders to locate the missing toddler.
He emphasized that the Hunters’ Search and Rescue Team remains committed and ready to assist in any way possible.
“Yesterday we were in the landfill and then we did, that’s the Studley Park Landfill in Mount St. George, Tobago. AS well as we did some searches with the Trinidad and Tobago Police and the Tobago Emergency Management Agency where we did searches in quite a few areas in Tobago.”
Captain Rambharat said the team will search the Goodwood area again on Tuesday to continue the search for the missing toddler.
