President of the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA ), Candice Santana, said the Association stands ready to assist Governments across this region or development partners to improve the quality of life of the Caribbean people through the water and sanitation sector.
At the Closing Ceremony of the CWWA on Thursday, the forum provided a unique platform for Ministers, policymakers, and key stakeholders to engage in high-level discussions on pressing issues such as water security, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and funding for sustainable infrastructure.
Ms. Santana said their goal is to make the Caribbean an even better place. She pledges to take action that is necessary in the Caribbean to build resilience and to adapt to the changing climate. They are no longer looking at climate change, but the climate crisis.
Ms. Santana said the CWWA continues to build regional capacity to treat with issues around water insecurity and waste water.
