India Into ICC U-19 T20 World Cup Final

Defending champions India secured their place in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Final with a dominant nine-wicket victory over England in the Semi-Finals.

Despite England’s strong start, India’s spinners turned the game around, restricting their opponents to 113 for eight. Davina Perrin led England’s charge with a brisk 45, but Parunika Sisodia (3-21) and Vaishnavi Sharma (3-7) triggered a collapse, taking six wickets between them.

India’s response was swift and assured. Opener G Kamalini struck an unbeaten 56, guiding her side to victory with five overs to spare. She shared a 60-run stand with Gongadi Trisha (35) before sealing the win with a boundary.

India will now face South Africa in the final after they defeated Australia by five wickets in the other semi-final. Ashleigh van Wyk (4-17) starred with the ball as the Proteas limited Australia to 105 for eight before Jemma Botha (37) and Kayle Reyneke (26) saw them home with 11 balls to spare.

India and South Africa, both unbeaten, will now battle for the title in a highly-anticipated Final.
