India’s Prime Minister To Address TT Parliament In Historic Visit

The Office of the Prime Minister has released the schedule for the Official Visit of India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, scheduled for July 3rd to 4th.

Following his arrival at the Piarco International Airport South Terminal on July 3rd, Prime Minister Modi will attend a Community Diaspora Event at the National Cycling Velodrome in Couva.

On July 4th, the Prime Minister of India will pay a courtesy call on President Christine Kangaloo, followed by an address to a Joint Assembly of the Parliament and the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding and a Tree Planting Ceremony.

This visit commemorates an important event in the longstanding diplomatic relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and India, which dates back to 1962.
