Jamaica won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force Divas in the final round of the CWI T20 Blaze tournament in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Trinidad and Tobago scored 76/8 from a rain-shortened 17 overs, with Djenaba Joseph top-scoring with 27 from 30 deliveries. Jamaica’s bowling attack was clinical, led by the experienced Stafanie Taylor, who claimed 3/9 from 3 overs.
In reply, Jamaica reached their target in just 15.2 overs, scoring 79/7. Taylor starred again, this time with the bat, scoring 21 off 20, while Chedean Nation top-scored with 24 off 29.
Red Force Divas’ Brianna Harricharan starred with the ball again, finishing with figures of 3/17, while captain Karishma Ramharack had 2/13.
This is the Red Force Divas’ third loss from five matches.
