The refurbishment of the Jean Pierre Complex has officially commenced.
A media release by the Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago confirmed that the project has begun and is expected to be completed within the next three months.
The project is being managed by the Urban Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCoTT) and conducted by contractor Moosai Development Construction Caribbean Limited.
The repairs to the structure is set to include the refinishing of floors and ceilings, painting, the refurbishment of concession areas, and roof repairs. In addition, the project will also see a major overhaul of doors, seating and washroom facilities, along with the installation of a new scoreboard.
The initiative would see the first ever major renovations to the multisport venue, which was constructed to host the 1977 World Netball Championships.
