Keeping It Green – Matura Reveals More Than 1,000 Species During Bioblitz

From an ocelot and a tamandua, also known as an anteater, to 12 species of bats and a potentially new species of moth, Matura has proven to be a biodiversity hotspot.

More than 1,000 species have so far been recorded during this year’s Bioblitz, organised by the Trinidad and Tobago Field Naturalists’ Club and UWI’s Department of Life Sciences.

TTT cameraman Rajnauth Lal was there, and Faith Cheruiyot tells us more in this week’s Keeping It Green.
