Trinidad and Tobago captured their eighth medal of the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay when eighteen-year-old Janae De Gannes claimed bronze in the women’s long jump.
De Gannes jumped a distance of 6.33 metres in her first attempt, earning herself a place on the podium.
The long jumper finished third behind second-place Rosmaiby Quesada of Cuba and first-place Natalia Linares of Colombia.
All eyes now shift to the 100-metre final, where Shaniqua Bascombe will be aiming to capture T&T’s ninth medal at 7:40pm today.
