Twelve-time Road March King Machel Montano has expressed immense gratitude for his latest win, which makes him the artiste with the most titles in the history of the competition.
Via a social media post, the King of Soca said he is grateful to have been part of the historic breaking of the 50-year record held by Lord Kitchener, and hopes it will be an inspiration, especially to the young men and women in the industry.
He said the feeling is comparable to his first Road March win in 1997.
Mr. Montano also extended congratulations to Voice, Bunji Garlin, the other Road March contenders, and all his fans and masqueraders for their passion and support.
