Man In Court For Burglary And Larceny Offences

A 37-year-old man was granted bail in the sum of $75,000 by a Master of the High Court in connection with burglary and larceny offences.

Kevin Prime was charged with the offences when he appeared before Master Rehanna Hosein in the North Masters High Court on Monday September 22nd, 2025.

He pleaded guilty to both charges was granted bail and the matter adjourned to October 20th, 2025, and transferred to the Sangre Grande Magistrates’ Court.

The accused is also required to stay 50 feet away from the Virtual Complainant, reside at an address in the Sangre Grande district and report to the Sangre Grande Police Station two days a week, between the hours of 6am and 6pm.

A female victim reported to police that she secured her Sangre Grande home on Monday August 4th, 2025, and went to bed. She alleged that she was awoken by a noise around 12:35pm and on making checks, discovered a quantity of cash missing from a small business she operates from her house.

Investigations into the matter were supervised by Insp. Harper, Cpl Maraj, Cpl Mahadeo and W/Cpl (Ag.) Rique, and included officers of the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department.

As a result, one suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.

Prime was charged with the offences by PC Singh, on Sunday 21st September, 2025.
