Manhunt Continues For Two Suspects In Captain Daniel Kawal’s Kidnapping

The manhunt for two other suspects in the kidnapping of Caribbean Airlines pilot Daniel Kawal is ongoing.

This is according to Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro, who spoke to the media on Monday evening.

On Sunday, police successfully rescued Captain Kawal in the Maraval district. One suspect was shot dead, three others were detained, and two fled into a nearby forested area.

Following this, the Police Service launched a manhunt for the two remaining suspects.

Commissioner Guevarro confirmed that the manhunt continues, and the rescued kidnap victim has been reunited with his family.

“I spoke to him personally and he’s doing great.”

Captain Kawal, who resides in Valsayn, was initially reported missing on September 3rd.

Caribbean Airlines has since thanked the T&T Police Service for their efforts in ensuring captain Kawal’s safe return, noting that they are relieved and grateful for the support in ensuring his safety.
