Following Friday’s triple murder in Laventille, Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander has assured that law enforcement personnel will be present in the community as efforts continue to address safety and security concerns across Trinidad and Tobago.
Three men were shot and killed during a violent attack in the early hours of Friday morning at McShine Lands, Laventille. The victims have been identified as Keon Alexander, Jesse Nelson, and Dwayne Alexander.
Answering a question on the incident in Parliament on Friday, Minister Alexander confirmed that a meeting was held with the executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
“I can speak to some of the strategies. However, some of them, the operationalisation of them, is important, so I will refrain. Targeted operations, assistance from teams outside, both air and other types of operations will be conducted. Also, the continuous investigations of gangs at the end of the SOE will play an integral part of ongoing investigations.”
