Works and Infrastructure Minister Jearlean John, the newly-minted Line Minister of The Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (UDeCOTT), today met with UDeCOTT’s CEO Tamica Charles and members of its Executive Management Team at the State Company’s Head Office at 38-40 Sackville Street, Port of Spain.
Minister John, a former Chairman of UDeCOTT during the period 2010 to 2015, presided over the construction of projects inclusive of the then Couva Children’s Hospital, San Fernando Teaching Hospital, police stations which included Arima, Piarco, Maloney, St. Joseph, Maracas St. Joseph, Brasso, Oropouche, La Brea and Besson Street Port of Spain, and the Mayaro Fire Station, to name a few.
Minister John, Works and Infrastructure Permanent Secretary Sonia Francis-Yearwood and senior members of the Ministry’s Executive, Technical and Communications Teams were updated via a presentation made by the various Divisional Heads at UDeCOTT on the status of the Corporation’s fiscal standing, current portfolio of 118 projects under its management, its strategic objectives, existing policies, and general operations.
Both Minister John and PS Francis-Yearwood posed several questions during the two-and-a-half-hour-long presentation.

Heritage (Restoration)
Ports and Infrastructure
Sports, Recreation and Tourism
Tobago.
This engagement marks the first step toward developing a results-driven action plan to ensure UDeCOTT delivers high-impact infrastructure that improves lives and supports Trinidad and Tobago’s sustainable growth and development.
