Minister Moonilal Attends India Energy Week 2026 Ministerial Panel Discussion

Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr. Roodal Moonilal, arrived in Goa, India to attend the prestigious India Energy Week 2026 Conference on January 28th 2026.

Minister Moonilal participated in a Ministerial Panel Discussion entitled, “Shifting the E&P Capital Equation: Attracting Investments and Driving Global Partnerships” which was highlighted on the front page of the Daily India Energy Week Newsletter. The panel which was moderated by Dr. Amrita Sen of Energy Aspects also included the Honourable July Moyo, Minister of Energy and Power Development, Republic of Zimbabwe and the Honourable Salome Makamba, MP, Deputy Minister of Energy of the United Republic of Tanzania.

During the discussions, Minister Moonilal provided insights on the increasing energy demands of the world over the next 25 years and the role which Trinidad and Tobago seeks to play in meeting that the demand. Minister Moonilal highlighted the Government’s efforts to make the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago a regional energy hub and outlined that Trinidad and Tobago is open for business as the country seeks investments and partnerships to develop key projects.

Minister Moonilal in outlining how Trinidad and Tobago seeks to attract investments described the Government’s newly introduced ‘Energy Accelerator Hub’ as well as the country’s political stability, local resources and attractive fiscal regime. Minister Moonilal elaborated that the goal of the Energy Accelerator Hub is to improve the efficiency of processing applications and permits resulting in faster approval times, all while adhering to health, safety and environmental standards.

Minister Moonilal assured that Trinidad and Tobago will continue to monetize its natural resources to benefit its citizens and re-emphasized that the country is open for business.
