The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is addressing road safety with three pillars: education, enforcement and engineering. Line Minister Eli Zakour was asked by reporters on Friday to indicate government’s plan to deal with road safety. On assuming office, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar announced that she will be scrapping the demerit points system.
