Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Member of Parliament for Port of Spain North/St Anns West Senior Counsel, Stuart Young has apologised for his comments made in the House of Representatives during a break following the conclusion of the Budget debate on October 10th.
In a statement posted to his social media pages, Minister Young says he ‘regrets’ that the ‘cross talk’ unnecessarily distracted public discourse and vowed to continue to serve ‘without fear or favour, malice or ill will.’ He further stated that he hopes that his record of service speaks for itself.
During a break in the sitting of the Lower House on Thursday, remarks were heard between Minister Young and Minister of Finance Colm Imbert, who sat next to him, while some Opposition members were out of the House.
The comments were broadcasted on Parlview.
