The Ministry of Education continues to prioritise remedial works at Gloster Lodge Moravian Primary School, with particular emphasis on the health, safety and well-being of students and staff, as well as ensuring continuity of instruction, especially for Standard Four and Five students preparing for the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA).
The Ministry has been actively engaging the relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Public Utilities, to coordinate and advance the necessary works at the school. These works are ongoing. Some critical works are scheduled to be completed over the coming weekend.
Recognising that Gloster Lodge Moravian Primary School is an institution with a history spanning more than 70 years, the Ministry is also collaborating with the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the school’s physical infrastructure. This assessment will inform any further interventions necessary to support the school’s long-term functionality and sustainability.
In the interim, contingency arrangements have been activated, with alternative accommodation options being explored for implementation as necessary to minimise disruption to teaching and learning.
The Ministry of Education remains committed to safeguarding access to quality education for the entire student population and working collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a safe, secure and conducive teaching and learning environment.
