MOE Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Policy Following Incident At Arima North Secondary School

The Ministry of Education has launched a full investigation into an incident at Arima North Secondary School, following the circulation of a video on social media depicting a physical altercation.

The Ministry said it views this matter with serious concern and strongly condemned the behaviour displayed, as it undermines the values of respect, discipline, and personal responsibility that the education system strives to uphold.

The Ministry reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on violence and indiscipline in schools, saying appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against all individuals found to be involved, in keeping with the provisions of the Education Act, Ministry policies, and the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

It said it will continue to collaborate with school administrations, parents, and law enforcement agencies to promote and protect safe learning spaces for all students.
