The vaccination status of persons who require to receive the additional ‘third dose’ of a COVID-19 vaccine will not be affected, according to the Ministry of Health.
This clarification comes following several questions posed by the members of the public on the issue upon the announcement that some persons are advised to get a ‘booster’ shot.
According to a Ministry press release, a fully vaccinated person is defined as one who has received the required number of doses of a WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine and two weeks have passed since the final recommended vaccine dose was received.
As such, those who previously fit into the category of fully vaccinated before the introduction of the Additional Primary Dose will continue to be considered fully vaccinated at this time.
